Tore smiled, receiving the message. "Of course it is. I will have Ivan over shortly after you arrive." he said as the message was sent for Ivan to come to Lisbon as well.

Looking at the World Battle map again, he saw that a Union ship was off the coast of the West coast, so he decided to have 3 nearby ships, 3 Type 45 Class Destroyers retrofitted with more advanced radar, guidance, and weapons systems with faster engines, Stealth technology, and thicker armor, capable of outmaneuvering a retrofitted Arleigh Burk class carrier with ease. Their orders were to make eye contact with the ship, report in, and move in to block the ship from getting a tack toward Topsail. If they were fired upon, then they were to destroy with extreme prejudice.

He wanted it to be a peaceful mission, as the Union, even though they would lose, would inflict so much upon the GNF that they wouldn't be able to reel back for decades. Modern Warfare was dangerous, and costly victories and the prospect of a long war were not appealing.

"Let's hope they'll be intelligent this time," Oslo said to himself, and sighed.

The HMS Johaan, HMS Ontario, and HMS Jersey caught eye of the Union ship at 1300 hours, and hailed them.

"This is Colonel Mark Velice, Commander of the Task Force before you. I come in peace and wish for you to turn away from our allies. We will be moving closer, and once at a designated distance, will not move away unless you get on the other side of Hawaii."

//Speaking of which, Hawaii is supposed to be its own sovereign nation, not owned by anyone. THAT was one of the terms of the Pacific War Peace Treaty. If anyone were to take Hawaii, then that is grounds for both of us, Atlantica, to HAVE to go to war. The East Pacific Ocean

Colonel Sioni Zhang, captain of the E.S.S. El Akulai, stood upon the bridge when he noticed three Federation vessels around the ship. Soon, he noticed that they were Type 45 Destroyers - probably upgraded with better armor, stealth technology, weapons and so on. He knew that if they were going on combat, his ship would have to risk destruction.

However, Colonel Zhang also knew that his ship had been formidable as well - after all, it had faced significant upgrades after the Pacific Rim War. It had been equipped with a stronger, long-range AESA radar, along with a VHF-Band Radar to counter stealth fighters. He knew that the E.S.S. El Akulai - a Martin Merced-Class Destroyer - had been upgraded with reinforced stealth technology, along with faster SAM's, laser weapons systems, and sea-based ASBM's for further combat.

Standing several miles away from the incoming Federation ships, Colonel Zhang gave the following reply:

"Colonel Mark Valice, this is Colonel Zhang of the Federal Eastern Union Navy. The Union Task Force stands around the East Pacific - however, they are at least eight hundred miles away from the Americas' coast, thereby being in the middle of the open waters. Therefore, there is no justification for us withdrawing - if anything, we are here for the purpose of securing the Empire of Reid, as part of our alliance."

"Technicalities or not," Colonel Valice said, "It's still considered a threat to the sovereignty of the Topsail Empire. We're asking you in good faith to turn back home, though it was to our understanding that Hawaii was a sort of border between our countries. Look, the Pacific is a vast ocean, what other reason do you have to be here except to threaten the Topsailians? It was wrong to bomb your embassy, but you need to consider 2 things before you follow orders and risk war:

1: Is the cost of lives and property worth losing 1 embassy?

2: If a government is willing to risk another World War over an exploded building that we didn't know the whereabouts of, is it a government you really want to follow? Could you sleep in peace at night while children die because of you following orders over an exploded building?

I'm sure we can negotiate something to make everyone happy here, Colonel Zhang."

"How come the Northern Federation is being so... Negotiable?" Colonel Zhang asked over the comms.

The American chuckled, "I may be a Viking, but I'm an American Viking. I'm more open to debate."

An hour later he was on his way to the airport to leave for Libson.

The Paratroopers that had landed the day before had regrouped and are about a mile out of a small city that holds the airport that they need for reinforcements. As the sun peaks over the church's steeple, the paratroopers move into the city, most of the city was asleep and didn't hear the soldiers come into the city. They made it quickly to the airport which put up no resistance as the guards were exiled by the anarchists that ran the city now. When radical anarchists found out that they had been occupied, most likely awoken by the whine of jet engines landing at the airport, they fought back. The rebels were quickly put down with a loss of a few paratroopers. The rest of the less radical anarchists gave in after the others were quickly put down. (No war crimes to report)

They were prepared for the barrage that came. A good majority of their tanks were out a the AOE. When my tanks came over the hill they were instantly assaulted . It was a battle that lasted for 15 minutes and resulted in medium casualties to the URS.
Loses: 2 T-99 (immobilized), 7 T-90A (3 totalled, 4 damaged and unusable), 3 BMP-3 (Destroyed), 7 BTR-90, 5 Bumerang APC, 1000 soldiers (245 dead, 755 wounded)

Klaus arrived at Valen in a classified airport.
His guards got out first forming a shied of men from both sides, Klaus was greeted by Tore just a few meters ahead,

"Hello Klaus! Ivan will hopefully be here soon, Please take a seat in the car, some of your guards can come with us, the others will have to follow." Tore said.

"Pleased to meet you in person finally, don't mind the mask. Hope you understand why I'm wearing it." Said Klaus

"Of course I do, the driver will take us to my secret home. We will have to go to the bunker downstairs, La Revolucion might attack any minute."

Ivan smiled as he landed, the city was gorgeous from the air and no doubt even prettier from the ground. He exited his flight in a secluded section of the airport and entered his car, a Black Tesla Model S. He continued to a prearranged location to meet with one of Tore's men to take him to their meeting location. When they arrived he got out and greeted the man that said the codeword. As he was shaking the man's hand he heard a slight ticking from nearby. Realization, struck Ivan like the pieces of building that had just been thrown at him by an explosion.

They had been ambushed.

When Ivan regained his senses, he noticed that they were being shot at. His training kicked in and his reflexes heightened from the adrenaline. He pulled a Custom Colt 1911 from his jacket and began firing on their attackers. The gun battle lasted for a good  3 minutes before the local SWAT arrived to finish up the men. Ivan took a look at his pistol. The slide was pulled into the empty position, all 8 shots fired plus another clip. Ivan got up from behind the car he was behind and took a look at the dead men in the building across the street. He recognized the symbols on their arm bands and head bands, La Revolucion.

He arrived at the secret bunker later that evening. He was unfazed by the experience as there have been many attempts on his life when he was fighting to reunite Russia. He took a sip of cider and greeted Klaus and Tore.

Tore groaned, throwing his glass against a wall, shattering it, spilling wine everywhere. "Damn them. The one time I attempt humility, I find myself being treated how I act. Damn them." he sighed and waved for a servant to clean up the mess, getting another glass and filling it to the brim, sipping it to a level where it wouldn't spill.
Once he'd regained his composure and lost his sobreity, he looked at them all. "You know exactly what I want in this case. I want peace and money. But for now, peace is more important to me. We can discuss economics later. For now, I propose forming our own, seperate alliance, reforming a proper European Union for military. If it goes anywhere, we can do more. For now, we need to discourage any wars."

Oslo I

Oslo, receiving word from a friend of his close to Klaus, decided to land in Lisbon himself and see what was going on with his own eyes. The war in Columbia would wait, considering the South Americans, the bastards, turned their back on the newly forming NATO. Venezuela was in good hands anyway, as he promoted the adviser in charge to be the new Governor of Venezuela, and his tasks were to be set to rebuild the country and get money flowing into the new economy.

He landed in Lisbon with 2 SF-5 fighters, the newest Stealth Fighter in the Federation Army, and a C-130, considering his starting destination was on an aircraft carrier.

Him and his 10 Special Forces Operatives drove past the remains of a firefight, and it quickly reminded him of the strong La Revolucion presence here, and how the only reason this was happening to the Valen Empire was because of their over-defensive Tore Valen, whom Oslo promptly wanted to hit in the jaw, but was not on his own turf right now, so formalties were in order.

"Watch out guys, this is the Wild West. Keep your eyes peeled," Oslo said, his men nodding.

They made it to the bunker, more or less a palace, at 5:30. He and his men walked in with their rifles at the ready, but at relative ease for the guards of 3 different nations were standing all around the compound.

Someone came to greet them, "Who are you?"

"I am King Oslo the First of Sweden and King of the Northern Federation. I was wondering if I could request audience with Tore Valen."

"I will ask His Majesty-"

"There is no need," Oslo said, bluffing with 2 of his guards standing near, forming a perimeter, "I have his number here."

"Then I'm sure you have His Majesty's permission to enter, shall I escort you?"

"Lead the way," Oslo said, then turned to his men and signaled for 8 men to provide security and Overwatch for the compound, then entered with 2 of his men.

The floor was marble, echoing across the floor with the Federation men's boots and their gear clinking against their bodies. "Ganska trevligt för en så kallad bunker," one of his men said, Swedish for "Pretty nice for a so called bunker."

"Ingen skojar, bor denne man i för mycket lyx. Det är vad som händer när du är trött med en silversked," Oslo replied, meaning "No kidding, this man lives in too much luxury. That is what happens when you are fed with a silver spoon."

The 3 Vikings chuckled amongst themselves, and Oslo was led into a room with 3 other important men, Ivan, Tore, and his brother. There was also a very suspicious red splotch on the side of the wall with glass

"Klaus!" Oslo chuckled.

Klaus smiled and got up to meet his friend, "I missed you when you left, you know it's bad manners to leave your friend unattended without saying goodbye."

"My apologies Klaus, I received word that our mutual enemies were receiving funds from the countries of Venezuela and Columbia. As you know, the ensuing battle involved the Union. Is this Ivan?"

"I am!" Ivan said, with slight cheer, "It is nice to finally meet you, though Lisbon has its... danger. I wish we could have met in Moscow back in it's golden days."

"I visited the last leader of Russia in Moscow," Oslo said, "One of the most beautiful cities I ever laid eyes upon. The charter for the Old European Union was signed there too."

Valen cleared his throat.

Oslo turned to him. "Ah, my rifle," He unslung his rifle from his body and handed it to a guard at the door. "Tore Valen, King of the Valen... Empire. I'm sorry to have come to your home unannounced but I couldn't help myself. I heard you have good wines, and defeating enemies for another gives one quite a thirst. Tell me, how is Kaito doing?" Oslo said, his voice sounding sincere.

Tore tensed up, "Pick your next words wisely, Viking."

Oslo smiled, knowing he got the man's attention. "Honestly, I came here to make amends for my actions. I was merely jesting, as I know the man is in Shanghai, hiding behind the skirts of the Union. You have nothing to fear here Tore, the cards are stacked in your favor. I would just like to say-"

"Save your fucking words and leave at once," Tore said, spitting venom and raising out of his seat, "now!"

Oslo laid a hand on his side, where his pistol was, "Lets not get too rash here Valen. I'll admit, I was too rash when we last talked, but I'd like to ask you a question: Do you have a family you have made on your own? A wife, children? No? Then you will never know the position of a man when his wife and children are in danger. Havve you ever seen a plane crash into your palace of marble and stone? No? Of course not. It was mis-communication that brought us here, and I want to settle this dispute fairly. Will you step down, as I shall, and and admit that we were both wrong, or shall we continue to fight each other as your country is torn apart.

"I've seen the bombings, the shootouts, everything. The Union gives you weapons, yet they don't help you by putting troops on the ground and if they are, they aren't doing a good job of eradicating La Revolucion. The Union gives you money, but what good is money when you are too fearful to go out of your house, or your country is torn apart to the pint where your people hate you and the money is Worthless. They don't train your men, and if they do, I've seen the Union Military Doctrine. They have halfway intelligent commanders, but their men's training is pitiful. I can help train your military and make you a fighting force to be reckoned with within the matter of months.

"I kept my word. I came in, killed as many as I needed to to get my man, and left. You won't find a single GNF soldier in your country except the ones I brought with me to get me here, and the number for those is 24, including myself. 11 are here, and 13 are at the airport protecting our planes. I have kept my word, Valen. My honor forces me to.

"I can help you, and I want to help you. Let's apologize to each other, admit our differences and wrongs, work together, and save lives here, Tore."

"Oslo!" Klaus yelled, outraged
"This was supposed to be a peaceful gathering! Get rid of your rifle at once! I am your friend here Oslo, but you must remember you damn place. I don't care if your a leader I don't care if you have guards here, but just remember your fucking place! Your king of the GNF NOT THE WORLD OSLO. You think your untouchable just because you have a strong military? Do you think that you can just barge in a private meeting and make threats to the man that owns the soil your standing on then plead for peace?! Your ego is getting the better of you Oslo. Why do you think Kaito is in Japan? Because you threatened to burn him at the stake.

"Fine, Klaus," Oslo said, unholstering the weapon and throwing it at a wall. He then took off his battle gear and ordered his men outside. "What more do you want, me naked? I came here in peace, and can you blame me for having a rifle on me in the middle of the shit storm the Union won't help clean up like they vowed to do? How come when a Viking walks into a room with a weapon everyone automatically assumes there is going to be a killing? You dare insult me when I have done nothing! I come to be sincere, I come to help, and all you do is push my people away. WHAT REASON HAVE WE TO NOT BE TRUSTED? We have never lied to anyone, we have done nothing but to help people, and what do we get? Disrespect, spat upon, insulted, and looked down upon when WE are the reason why our enemies have thought twice about attacking us. You know what, I'm sorry I ever tried to help you at all. I'm sorry that I ruined your wine and dining while people are being killed. I'm sorry I ever trusted you Klaus."

Klaus, for a second, looked dumbfounded and Oslo walked out of the door to gunshots outside. His instincts immediately went to his equipment, which he ran back into the room and got. He snatched his rifle back from the guard at the door and ordered his men to hold down the perimeter.

He ran outside to see many of the La Revolucion soldiers attacking the compound, and the untrained Valen soldiers were being massacred outside. A part of him wanted to secure himself and his men, yet another part of him wanted to protect these people. He had a bad feeling in his gut, but he did what was right.

"Valen soldiers, pull back to the palace and barricade the doors! Russians, cover the west side and get me snipers on the roof! Johaan, provide overwatch on the roof and tell me where they're at. Everyone else, find some cover and kill these bastards!"

The fight lasted for 20 minutes, with both sides suffering losses. He saw that the rear of the compound was falling, so he ran into the palace and took up a position to the rear and laid down suppression fire. He then was tackled by a La Revolucion soldier after firing 2 clips, and he stuck his knife in the man's throat. Another ran into the room where the leaders were and Oslo tackled the man down. They fought over the gun when Oslo felt a burning sensation in his torso. The man shot him with a pistol.

The recoil knocked the man's hand back enough for Oslo to disarm him and put a bullet in between his eyes. Without another word, he went back out and continued to fire until he blacked out.

Oslo woke up in a hospital bed with the smell of blood heavy in the air. He patted himself down and winced when he felt the bullet wound in his torso, and when he felt another close to his heart. A doctor came in and smiled, seeing that Oslo was awake.

"Many of the men saw what you did, by helping them. They wanted to-"

"I don't care, get me out of here," Oslo said, ripping IV's out and unhooking the heart rate monitor, to which an annoying monotone resounded.

"Sir-"

Oslo ignored him and found his camos. As he was putting them on, he saw the bullets that came out of him laying on a metal tray next to the bed. He grabbed his weapons and requested to know where his men were. His head became lightheaded, but Oslo, the proud Viking he was, still stood. Two of his men came, and Oslo requested them to take him home and tell him how many men he lost. They told him 4.

Oslo fought to hold back tears and words of hatred for the people around him as he was taken out of the hospital as a doctor was yelling after them. Right as they made it to the door, a voice stopped them."
