Colony RP [Private RP][Invite Required]

A force of 10,000 Dotarian troops on a mission to a new planet, known to the Dotarians as Graag 23, to colonize the planet. Upon entering the system, it is discovered that other nations of the coalition are now on the planet, making Dotaria late for the snatch. A colonizing mission was sent down anyway, landing 9,000 men and women (the colonists. In Dotaria, everyone is in the military). They immediately established a colony in the Eastern Hemisphere, behind a huge mountain range. Upon initial reports, gravity is 1/3 that of Requiem, and the planet has a lush surface, teeming with life and having an oxygen rich atmosphere. A colony is immediately established in the biggest mountain on the surface, now called Mount Caarvak. Estimation for completion is 2 weeks.

Grothbord hears news of it's ally is coming to the new planet to colonize. Grothbord sends Dotaria 15 tons of food and 5,000 gallons of water and a few supplys to help him get on his feet. Grothbord will send diplomats to inform Dotarian colonist.

Dotarian turn down the supplies in good faith, saying that the Colonists of Grothbord need the food (the food that was sent wouldn't suffice for even 3 days, as the Dotarians have a high metabolism and huge bodies, some reaching 10 feet tall). They did however, feast the diplomats that came, showing them the headway that the Dotarians made turning the mountainside into a city in a matter of a week and a half. For the city's expectations, however, of turning the whole mountain into a city will take several months.

The commander, Captain Yohn Barzok, has sent out 60 men in scouting parties of 5 each, surveying the land to analyze their surroundings with the help of the C.D.W. Rysethon. They then prepare forces of 200 men each, 10 total, to colonize the lands that the scouting parties recon.

BREAKING NEWS

Topsail Empire has landed 300 soldiers in the province directly south east of East Ibsenia's newest province The Darkwoods. Topsail Empire has begun construction of a small settlement on the coast of the new province, named "Southwoods" as it is located directly south of the darkwoods.

The Dotarians feast the new Topsailians as well, and the surrounding "provinces" were scouted. The 10 companies spread out, and established the following colonial cities:

Towns are springing up across the province of Bevarus. These towns are focusing all of their might into building factories and other industrial complexes due to a massive shortage of supplies. El Fiji Grande has always been known for its brilliant engineers, but has also been somewhat behind in space colonization. Thus, new supplies will come only one every other year, each time bringing new people along with it.

These new factories are on a really small scale, but have the potential to grow into a major economy. The plants have been built in the nearby province of Safarggia, on the beach. This location was chosen because of its easy access to cold water, which will be used as cooling fluids for the plants. This is in case sufficient uranium is discovered on the planet to get a reactor built as well. It is also far from the public eye so as not to be a constant eyesore.

While the factories were intentionally built away from the city, a new city was created just from the amount of goods that started to travel intercity between Bevarus and Safarrgia; this new city has been named Carzchx by the workers.

Roads have been established between the major cities. These are still dirt roads, but will be upgraded later.

Meanwhile the Topsail Navy is regrouping in Port Topsail. 20 Newly arrived ships (2 Topsail Class Destroyers, 2 Phoenix Class Frigates, 6 Angus Walters Class Corvettes, and 10 Dominator Class hoverships) split into fleets. Half (15 ships) deploys to the Razed Strait and is ported in the under construction town of Venture, and the other half stays in the Aqua Sea and is ported in Port Topsail.

Liza Stark has issud a formal announcement to all nations:

"The Strategos Prime Council has decided that supplies and colonists will no longer arrive if you are at your max of 10,000 colonists, and that the last nations to enter this colonial race will be Atlantica and Hjjima if they so choose. Eden is now a closed planet, and we urge all nations to contribute to the blockade around it.

Furthermore, We of East Ibsenia have begun to feel threatened by Topsail Empires actions, and so we have begun construction of the Epic Wall, a great 300 foot tall wall that will cut our mainland off from Topsail. We feel threatened by Topsail's claiming of land nearby us, rather than heading into the wild east. As it stands, we are guarded with Topsail, and Neutral with all other nations.

Let construction of the wall begin!"

President Andrew Williams paced around his room vigorously. The claiming of land was meant to stop East Ibsenia from surrounding our province. We must make things right with them.

No doubt you have heard my proclamation, and may want to make things right. This can easily be accomplished. We have begun the process of colonizing the region directly north of you in order to provide labor for the Epic wall that was to surround Topsail. We would be willing to trade you this region, in return for the SouthWoods. This region is known as the WhitePlains, and quite prosperous. Furthermore, We request a formal agreement that you from this point forward you claim on land on northern Cema or eastern Falos. We will continues to settle eastern Eros and Northen Falos.

Elbaror has sent a diplomat to Bevarus, in order to request a trade agreement from them.

After clearing up confusion, Topsail and East Ibsenia have established, in Liza Stark's minds, cordial relations. The expansion agreement is still on the table, but the territory swap has been disregarded.

Elbaror now wishes to establish a trade agreement with Port Topsail, so that both nations can prosper in harmony.

The diplomats from Topsail Empire have finally arrived, and a few days after that, the diplomats from East Ibsenia have also arrived to Bevarus. The aging Hurgeson, leader of the colony, addresses the envoys with a grin stretched wide upon his face. "We here in Bevarus may have had a slow start in the colonization race, but in that time we've gotten ourselves settled, and spent most of our time focusing on industry. We are aware that you may have received massive payloads in your initial colonization force, but supplies will begin to run low. In the trade agreement you have proposed, we will accept to trade production for pretty much anything. This meaning that you can order parts, vehicles, machines, weapons, ammunition.... anything you want as long as the price is right."

General Paul Robertson, Governor of Port Topsail, agrees to the trade agreements.

Noticing the military buildup of the Topsail Empire, the orbiting Dotarian ship launches air and para-naval forces to the surface, and claim oceanic territory by the lands held by Dotaria. It isn't a preparation for war, just to offset the military buildup of Topsail. The Colonists continue to explore, but have been ordered to halt expansion of the territory for now. Seeing as how the colony needs to become self-sufficient, the Dotarians have followed suit with the El Fiji Grandeans on the planet, and have raised factories in the cities, although most of the supplies produced are agricultural products. The land has been semi-terraformed to make agricultural products native to Dotarian society, such as grain, tobacco, cotton, and peanuts (because who can survive without peanut butter?). Life is well, and the colonists are happy.

The Bevarus colonials are now expanding into their newly claimed region. It was named the Costanova region, and no one knows why. It will probably remain a mystery until the end of time. Two new towns were founded: Albidino in the Safarggia province, and Condihu in the Costanova mountains. Condihu is a mining town, set up to search for valuable minerals and ores beneath the surface. Drilling equipment manufactured at Carzchx is on the roads as we speak.

News: Colonials greeted a colony ship today. It landed just south of Bevarus and offloaded 4,500 new colonists, a fleet of 5 ships (to be specified later), 10 tanks, and plans for the new bridge that will stretch from Pomolath to the opposite side of the Taireth. Most of the colonists will be headed for Carzchx and Condihu, the major industrial production areas, but a few will also go directly in to Bevarus to work at the shipyards. 37.8% of the colonists are trained engineers, and coincidentally, 37.8% of those are aerospace engineers.

Unfortunately, this marks the last colonial docking ship; now the colonists are officially on their own. The current population stands at 10,617, which is low because of the large number of recent deaths. The colonists have been struggling with several known diseases, which have mostly arisen because of low sanitation standards. The Committee of Public Safety has been formed ensure workers' rights, sanitation standards, and to create a colony-wide police force.
