The Future Tech General Roleplay Empty The Future Tech General Roleplay

Post by Dotaria Thu Apr 10, 2014 12:42 pm

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Strategos Prime General Roleplay! This is the Roleplay, since our nations are all Future Tech, where we can interact with each other on a different plane other than what Nationstates can offer, be it peaceful or warlike, and we don't have to answer to anyone but ourselves! How cool is that?

Anyway, as with all Roleplays, we have to establish some rules:

1. NO GODMODDING. This shouldn't even have to be on here, but to keep the honest people honest, it has to be. Ultimately, the people who are in charge of what is Godmodding or not are me (Dotaria), East Ibsenia, Hockesin, and El Fiji. Godmodding is including, but not limited to any super weapons capable of destroying planets or stars, using numbers that shouldn't exist to defeat your enemy rather than using tactical thinking to do so, or anything else deemed Godmodding or is complained about to the judges via TG or out of character talking.

2. At the start of the Roleplay, there is NO alliance whatsoever of Strategos Prime. Strategos Prime will be referred to as the name of our galaxy from now on in this Roleplay. This allows us to conduct business with whomever we want, or pursue war however we please.

3. Since I always get yelled at for my race of beings, we shall all create a certain race of beings all to ourselves. If you wish to stay human, you will have to post your strengths and weaknesses on a separate thread reserved for Applications. The rules for the Applications will be posted on that Thread, as the way of doing Applications right now is annoying and not as productive. (IE, it takes too freaking long to find people in the mids of a RP to figure out their species)

4. We will be using the Strategos Map Future Tech Map that I have made. Keep this in mind when you play...

5. All applications must be passed before you engage in ANY Roleplay in this thread, and they will be passed with either mine or Ibsenia's blessing.

Application page is put up!

//Just as a pre-note, the Ynolians are essentially a planet full of high tech space pirates, that my people despise//

"Admiral Gout, please report to the bridge." A man hustled down the corridor to the bridge. He passed a group of mechanics who were working on repairing a Terror Drone that had malfunctioned earlier that day. He made it to the bridge and looked out on the horizon of M'tyo, a planet's beauty is never fully appreciated until you see it first hand.

"What's the situation?" He asked a man at a terminal.

"We have some unknown signatures that just warped in about 100 km from our current position. We have attempted to hail them with no avail sir." The man summarized.

"Well get the ships fired up, shields online, and the weapon up, we need to be prepared for everything."

"Yes sir" The man began speaking rapidly in his headset. The ship shuttered slightly as the engines fired up.

"All ahead full." Gout ordered. A few seconds later the planet seemed to turn the opposite direction, the ship accelerating to blockade the unknown vessels. Small specks appeared in the window. "Magnify and hail them again." The screen zoomed in on the vessels. Gout made a strange face at the vessels, the weapons on board were military grade, nothing a pirate would be able to get cheap. A loading symbol appeared at the right hand corner of the view screen, which turned green after a few second. "Unknown vessel, please identify yourselves and your intent in the next 10 minutes or we will be forced to fire upon your vessels." The unidentified vessel turned, facing it's port side towards their ship. Gout was surprised, the Ynolians never venture this far into FS territory. A couple minutes passed, "fire control, bridge. Prepare an MDC round, I want this done quick." The time limit was 30 seconds from expiring, when the unthinkable happened.

"Sir, warp signature off our- Shit there's two more!" A man at a console said as blue dots appeared in front of them, ships appearing from within. "Sir, we have about thirty ships." he said.

"Warning! You are outnumbered thirty to four, recommend disengaging" The ships AI said over the command crew's headsets.

"Sir, their warming up weapons!" another crew member said.

"FIRE!" He gave the order and the MDC launched, rocking the ship. A glorious red  and yellow fireball engulfed the ship. The two ships next to it began floating aimlessly as the EMP knocked out a good majority of their systems. "Fire control, Light them up!" The FS Dannwa's shields lit up in front of the bridge, as the twenty eight other ships began firing on it and it's escorts. "Get ground control online, we need some help!"

"Shields at 75%!" A man said as the loading symbol reappeared. It turned green.

"Ground Control, Admiral Gout. I need fire on those orbiting ships." Gout ordered over the radio.

Moments later another enemy ship gets torn apart as a Particle cannon opens fire on it, others being destroyed by, what the military has lovingly called, the Friendship Cannons.

"Gout sir, FS Heri. We lost shield and are disengaging, we weren't prepared for this, sir."

"Alright Heri, we'll cover you." Gout said back to the ship. "What are our shields at?"

"60% and holding sir!"

"Good, let the planet side defenses take care of-" He sentence halts in disbelief. A new ship has just joined the enemy team. A Leviathan. //The Future Tech General Roleplay Stock-photo-battle-fleet-of-giant-space-cruisers-and-small-scout-ships-d-digitally-rendered-illustration-92759107 the big ship is a leviathan, the ships in the far backround are the size of my Heavy Cruisers.//

Ryse Hunter Mathias was sipping some tea at noon on Requiem in the Citadel, and looked upon his city and its majesty. Very rarely were structures made that rivaled the Titan's works on nature in the Universe, but this city was a close one. The sky was clear, with bustling cars and people working around the circular mega structure, and the tea itself was nice. Taking another sip, he turned to his commander of the Rysedeiniik, the Kingsguard protecting the Ryse.

"So, Jason, how has everything been in my Confederacy?"

Jason sipped his own tea, glancing at the other two Rysedeiniik drinking tea with them, and replied, "All is well, milord. Mariis, Drogis of Atlas and wife to Drog Nestarfi had a baby recently, about 18 hours ago."

"Congratulations to her then. New life is always celebrated, so let us toast to her and her new baby," Hunter said, raising his glass, "The sex?"

"A healthy male, milord. It is her first-born male of 3 children so far, so she has brought Nestafari a heir."

"This is good! Prosperity in Dotaria is always good."

"Aye milord."

A jet flew overhead, carrying the Cog of Dotaria on its wing. It was a military plane, not a rare sight in the Dotarian Confederacy. It flew of to the western sky after coming about and wiggling its wings, saluting the Ryse. Hunter was charismatic to his people, and not much of a people person to other races. The Ryse had to work for his people for the rest of their lives, and couldn't afford to be nice in front of his people to other races. There were still those who remembered the Uprising that happened 1500 years ago, especially the present company sipping tea with their leader.

A tablet in Jason's hands was buzzing now, and he checked it. "It seems that M'tyo was attacked an hour ago, says the detail there is outnumbered."

Hunter slowly sipped his tea, digesting the information. He then came to his decision, "They can handle themselves. If they need help, we can send a task force as support to them. If they don't have planetary defenses on M'tyo, then they aren't worthy to live anyway. Is it a colony?"

"I don't think so, milord," Jason said, "It has a pretty sizable population."

"They'll be fine."

"Warning! Hull breaches in sectors 5, 7, and 12. Evasive action recommended." Gout's earpiece buzzing like a fly as the leviathan barraged the smaller vessels.

"How long till our reinforcements arrive?" Gout asked.

"About five minute, sir." Gout cursed under his breath.

"Ground control! Focus all you fire on that leviathan. Fire control. Focus you fire on their weapons an engines. Get all fighters and bombers airborne, we aren't going to lose this battle! HAI, commence evasive actions and someone get our emergancy shields online!" Gout ordered as the ship shook from another barrage.

"Sir we just lost the Retu!"

Gout cursed again, the view screen began spinning as the ship spun to make targeting it harder. Through the spinning Gout saw the lasers and from orbiting satilites attempting to rip through the ship's armor and the Friendship cannon's shells exploding on the hull and on the shields.

"Warning you are outnumbered 26 to 2. Warning radiation detected."

"Sir we have warps to our stern." A crew member said. Gout face dropped and paled.

The view screen lit up, "Admiral Gout I heard you have a leviathan problem!"

"Thank the gods!" Gout exclaimed seeing the captain's face. A wave of hope ran through the bridge. "Aren't we glad to see you captain, this thing just about tore us apart."

"Take a breather sir, we'll handle them."

Abou an hour later, in orbit over M'yto...

"How many casualties?"

"5 destroyed, 12 damaged, 2 without engines. A few boarding parties are preparing the enemy ships for salvage. Heria has the dry docks prepared for the damaged ships."

"Alright, that was a hell of a battle."

"That it was sir. That it was."

"Is Isis station ready to repair the ships without the engines?"

"That they are sir, they won't return for a while."

"Let's hope, I don't want to have to massacre them again." Gout said looking at the small ships scouring the debris for salvage. They have never attacked with a force that size in two decades. Something is brewing and Gout is expecting a war.

Topsail City, Earth

President Andrew Williams looked at his morning state of the galaxy report on his datapad. It contained the usual stuff about how population on Earth was at a 10 year low due to emigration to other Topsailian planets, how a severe drought had effected crops on the frontier world of Kepler III, and how the Topsail Empire Space Fleet is in a major construction program. But near the bottom of the page he saw a different report. It stated that an unknown fleet had attacked Falling Stars, a loose Topsailian ally. He immediately issued an order to the Topsail Empire Space Force in the Decima System, the closest system to Falling Stars. Six Earth Hours later 6 Star Destroyers, 8 Cruisers, 6 Frigates, and 2 Troops Ships carrying a total of 4,000 troops departed the system and engaged their Warp Drives. They were expected to reach Falling Stars in about 2 hours.

//Guys, remember this: if you are a Tier 1 country, you can mass produce ships to the point of pumping out around 50 ships in the span of a year. Tier 1 countries have perfected the arts of manufacturing and can make their own materials, as the knowledge of making superdense metals is known. We shouldn't have too many of them, but if you are a Tier 1 remember the fact that you can still build great ships capable of outmaneuvering a Tier 3 fighter. use the knowledge before you to your advantage.

Also, you can't expect everyone to believe that only 1 square has 1 system in it. There are several systems in each square on the maps, hence why I put down that I had 300 livable planets. It's not godmodding, just stick to what you know or can look up and we'll all tell you if you're crossing the line.

If you don't want to follow these philosophies, but still want the technology, then please state yourselves in the application as a Early Tier 1. It's completely understandable, and if you're worried about me taking everyone over, don't worry about that. Unless you piss my people off, I'm not going to invade you. I'm sort of modeling my people after the Forerunner from Halo, they think they're better than everyone else so they feel an obligation to protect everyone.//

The Future Tech General Roleplay Empty Re: The Future Tech General Roleplay

Post by Dotaria Thu Apr 24, 2014 1:42 pm

The Knighting Ceremony for his son was a moment that made Hunter one of the proudest men in the Realm as he watched his son, and heir, walk ceremoniously toward the throne in his old Vanguard's Armor. When he finally came before his father, Viktor Mathias, Heir of Dotaria and her Confederacy, knelt before his father and bowed his head.

Hunter spoke. "Vanguard, you have been chosen to receive the gift of Knighthood, as you have been seen as one of the best and most prestigious warriors of the Vanguards. This is not a gift to be taken lightly, as you shall serve your People and Nation even after death. You shall have the greatest responsibility to your people than most of our kind, and you and your brothers and sisters shall be the first of the attack, the last of the defense, and you shall give your life to the service of our Country and Race. Do you accept this gift?"

"I do," Viktor said.

"Then so be it," Hunter said, and outstretched his hand to the right. Two of the Rysedeiniik ceremoniously brought a brazier to Hunter and set it between the father and son. They then retreated behind Hunter for the ceremony. Hunter brought his hand over the brazier and pulled his hand up quickly, igniting the fuel and making the flame explode up to Hunter's height then collapse back. Over the fire, Hunter handed his son a knife.

"As the Titans recognize, all oaths are made by blood, be it marriage, oath of military service, a sacred oath of religious service, or an oath made of great import that we pledge our lives to. Make your oath to me, your Ryse who is your superior, your people who are your mission, and to the Titan of Light your savior," Hunter said.

Victor firmly took the knife and drew it across his palm, having the blood of his body seep quickly to the surface of his skin.

"I vow to serve my people to my dying breath, and become a beacon of hope to all of Dotaria should darkness fall upon us. I will never accept defeat even in the sight of hopeless odds. I will never disgrace my brothers who serve, who will serve, and who have served to their dying breath. My brothers and I will overcome what comes before us and become the Apex Warrior of the Battlefield. None shall stand before me and my mission to protect my Country, Dotaria. On my life's-blood I swear."

He sniffed as if he wasn't hurt, but as he put his blood over the brazier, facing the wounded part of his hand to the fire, Hunter could see his son brace himself for what happened next. He knew damn well what was coming up, as he was not that far away from his father in court whenever he would conduct business or Knight Vanguards. What would come next would be excruciating pain.

The Purge.

Hunter grabbed his son’s wrist, just as was done to him and the other Vanguard Knights, and quickly forced the hand into the fire. The fire was as hot as molten Thermite, and if Viktor had not been a Vanguard becoming a Knight, his hand would have been instantly turned into a nub. Even so, his hand was turning black from the burn.

“Now comes the Purge before we call you brother. What will you do when faced with adversary that will do it’s best to utterly destroy you? Will you give into the pain and let yourself fall so your brothers and your people can fall too, or will you take on this adversary, ignore the pain, and vanquish your enemies? Ignore your pain, be purged of your weaknesses as iron is purified in a forge. Build within yourself a new warrior, one turned to steel and forged in the fires of war.” Hunter said, as per the ritual.

His son yelled in pain, but slowed his breathing down to concentrate as Hunter spoke. This was the part that would make or break someone becoming a Knight, and many men had left the Titan’s Throne with nothing but a nub at the elbow to show for their troubles. This was something he couldn’t help his son with, Viktor had to learn this on his own.

Viktor concentrated on his hand, and soon the color of skin was seen again. Hunter smiled at his son and pulled the hand out of the fire. Viktor’s hand was shaking but he didn’t clutch his hand, only flexed it. He was still in pain, but it was starting to subside, and once again he was beginning to to feel the coolness of the air again. Hunter walked to the Titan’s Throne and stood there until he saw his son was fit to move on, which he was beaconed over.

His son rose and walked before him and stood.

“Discard your armor and clothes, then kneel,” Hunter said, and signaled for new armor and clothes to come into the room.

His son stripped out of his armor and ceremoniously laid it out to his right, and his clothes to his left. He knelt as he was bid.

Hunter drew his sword from a scabbard this time, instead of from his armor as he was so instinctively used to. “Viktor Mathias, Prince of Dotaria and son of Hunter Mathias the First of his Name,” Hunter said, “You are one of us.”

Almost immediately a brand was placed into Viktor’s right shoulder blade, but Viktor hardly felt it. When it was pulled away, a scar of a wolf’s head was left in it’s place, defined almost to every hair.

“Rise, Sir Viktor.”

----

Hunter woke up from his dream the next morning, with the memory of his son’s Knighting ceremony from almost a thousand years ago playing in his head. He looked at his own scars, the two on his hands. The left was of his Knighting ceremony, when he was the first of the Dotarians to receive the gift.

On his right hand was the scar that signaled the union between him and the woman laying in bed beside him, with the same scar. The couple getting married would clutch hands and a knife would be drawn between them. This signified that the couple would share the pains and happinesses of life together, and that their blood mixing together would allow them to be one with each other in union.

Hunter closed his hands, leaned over, and kissed his wife, Rayne, on the cheek. She stirred at first, then opened her eyes and smiled when she saw Hunter. He kissed her again, then a knock was heard at the door.

“Enter,” Hunter said.

Viktor, his son, entered. This puzzled Hunter as Viktor was in the Prometheus System overseeing training there and wouldn’t be back until the next day. “Father.”

“Vik, here so soon?”

“Father, we have a problem. We have a ship bigger than any ship that we have in our fleet orbiting 365 miles over your head right now,” Viktor said, seriously.

Hunter jumped out of bed and put his armor on, then he grabbed his sword and left with his son. “It’s here, at Requiem?”

“Aye. We followed it from outside Prometheus. It’s engines are primitive, and the lifeforms on the ship are as big as we are with the same muscular strength but different genealogy. They have weaponry as advanced as ours, but we have already had a standoff with them already. You and I are set to board them to see what the hell is going on.”

“Have we been engaged yet?” Hunter asked.

"No father, but I don't want to take any chances," Viktor said, glancing at his father before opening the door to Hunter's private Tarmac.

"Spoken like a true Dotarian Prince," Hunter chuckled, then looked up. Even from space and how far it was from the planet's surface, the ship was able to be seen as it was as big as a baseball. For the first time in his life, Hunter was in awe, but only temporarily.
