Colony RP 2.0 [INVITE ONLY]

The Planet Artraes is beautiful and flowing with life. When it was discovered, several nations immediately claimed it for themselves. Fearing war may erupt, The Security Council stepped in, and enforced a protocol. This Planet, like the planet Eden before it, would be blockaded. Then, each nation would be allowed to send down a force of colonists, consisting of a mix of soldiers and citizens. Each nation would then develop on its own, and interact regionally. 



Continent names:
Southern continent= Aetas
Western continent= Dirvan
Northern continent= Malvan
Eastern continent= Eria
Island Chain- Slea Islands

Types of terrain and their effects:
Scale: Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
Grasslands- Low production, Very High growth, Low resources

Mountains- High production, Very Low growth, High resources. Impassable.

Desert- Very Low production, Low Growth, Very High resources.

Light woods- Medium production, Medium growth, Low resources

Medium woods- High production, Slow growth, Medium resources

Heavy woods- High production, Very Low growth, Medium resources

Foothills- Low production, Medium growth, High resources

Lakes- Low production, Medium growth, Medium resources.

Swamps- Very low production, Low growth, High resources.

Modifiers:
Rivers- Gives a region a +1 boost to growth and resources.

Tundra- Gives a region a -1 boost to growth.



Rules:

1.There may not be ANY outside interaction. The Galactic blockade, which consists of a fleet of East Ibsenia ships, will make sure of that.

2. Any attempts of outside interaction will result in declaration of Public Enemy. You will be invaded by all.

3. Any attempts to destroy the planet will result in declaration of Public Enemy. E.g. Nuclear weapons.

4. For each battle/war, there will be a neutral GM that will decide the outcome of any battles. If no neutral nation in the RP is present, we will use an outside nation. In the final case, the RP minister will decide the outcome.

5. During a war, you MUST wait for the other nation to respond before posting again. 

6. If you want to talk out of character, use this format-
//Hi everyone I am Groth!//

7. Godmodding is NOT allowed. If one has a complaint of godmodding, TG East Ibsenia.

8. Conflicts in here do not carry over OOC, or vice versa. 

9. You may only claim one province initially. 

10. You can only land with basic supplies. You may not bring any armor, ships, planes, weapons, missiles etc...Only handheld weapons. 

11. A maximum of 10,000 people may land.

12. Tech level starts at FT. You have to develop your nation up to that level in infrastructure though. You may have knowledge of an EMP, but you dont have the infrastructure or resources for it.

13. If you do not update your nation for 4 days, then it will crumble into disrepair. THIS MEANS EJECTION.


14. One day IRL is one year in game. Play respectively.

15. Locations of military, and their size, must be posted and updated.

16.There must ALWAYS be at LEAST a proportion of 2:1 for citizens and soldiers, in terms of colonist drops.

PLANET TWO INTRO

LongSword Overwatch, orbiting Artraes

Admiral Stark and her fleet have arrived to help the new Admiral Lyon. Admiral Lyon the head of a fleet called the Overwatch fleet, who specializes in the international job of defending what are called "Civilization planets" from foreign intervention. Lyon and his fleet watch over Artraes while the war happens overhead, occasionally entering cryo-sleep to prevent aging. Liza Stark has arrived to help Chris Lyon smoothly complete Edict 545.

Edict 545:
What has been formerly known as "The Colony" will be expanded to include two more planets. These planets can be colonized, and can be travelled between. Any attempts to interfere from the outside, or leave the solar system, will result in immediate expulsion from "The Colony" and a declaration of war from all participants, both within "The Colony" and outside. Space travel is allowed, but any attempts to build a fleet to combat the OverWatch fleet will be met with hostility and war. Previous rules from the original "The Colony" still apply, along with the added rules:

1. No PlanetBusters
2. No Space-to-planet- weaponry. Space warfare is strictly space-space.
3. Planet-Space weaponry is not allowed.
4.  These rules subject to change

With the expansion, A new planet is introduced, the planet Maxima.

North-Western Continent: Lavayan
North-Eastern Continent: Erlayan
Southern Continet: Wyndis
Island Chain: Vulcan Isles]

Landing on a chain of Islands, East Ibsenia claims this province, and will name it's nation Aelia. 7000 citizens and 2500 soldiers, and 500 Garde have been dispatched to begin construction of the city Mycra.

The Colony lands, 7,000 civilians and 3,000 soldiers and establishes a city, Portum. Walls are built around the settlement, with soldiers patrolling the walls day and night.

A group of 6000 Colonists and 300 Super Soldiers and 3700 infantry are hot dropped to the planet's surface. A colony pod is dropped by an orbiting ship warping out immediately after dropping the colonists.

Mycra begins to grow. Constructing homes for their people, they are soon living in a jumble of water and island. The Town hall is built, and a Mayor elected. This Mayor is named Jeremy Vylan, and is reknowned to focus on trade. He orders the construction of 15 trade vessels, and the first cruiser, the SS Stark. 

Jeremy steps forward to make a announcement:

"To all incoming nations. Aelia is a friendly nation, but we ask that you do not intrude on our land. We hereby claim, not in actuality but in name, all of Aetas. We ask you not to land here. Furthermore, we request an alliance with Portum."

Jeremy sends a diplomat to Portum, to establish an Embassy. Jeremy has been lovingly nicknamed Jem by his citizens. Jem sends a diplomat to consult with Falling Star's nation.

The colonists establish Quark City in the name of The Empire of Falling Stars. The first homes begin to be built under the protection of the infantry. The radio on the colony pod hears Mycra's message. Due to the weather the building goes at a slow but steady pace.

The diplomat sent to Quark City asks for an alliance.

Merchants from Mycra have formed the first guild, the Artraes Trading guild. They have established a home base in Mycra. They ask for permission to establish in Portum and Quark City. The establishment of a guildhouse would result in lowered tariffs for Mycran merchants, but result in higher trade in that city.

The colonists agree to the proposed alliance. They continue construction of a port and starts construction of a City hall around the colony pod. A wooden spike wall around the complex with soldiers guarding it was finished later that day.

The City of Mycra has developed on all the small islands, and is now expanding out onto the water. In order to protect the canal city, Jem Vylan has commisioned 6 more Cruisers, and began construction of a wall that can be raised to shut off the canals in times of war.

Above is the city of Portum. a 10 foot high electrified razor wire fence protects the city from animals and possible hostile natives.

5 hoverships are constructed in the shipyards of Portum. They begin construction of 2 corvettes, 2 frigates, and a destroyer. The goal for the Portum navy within 2 months is 2 corvettes, 2 frigates, 1 destroyer, and 20 hoverships.
