"You can do whatever you want to him. He will die at the end of this, regardless."

"However", Stark warned, "everything you do will be on a live feed to me. So keep that in mind."

"I will do whatever is necessary to achieve my objective," Hunter said, always putting duty first, "Will I be conducting my interrogation on my ship or yours?"

Stark replied firmly, "My ship. The last thing either of us need is Jorn escaping during transit or on your ship. Plus, I dont want him out of my sight."

"As you wish," Hunter said, crawling though a doorway. //Dotarians are anywhere from 8-12 feet tall.//

He followed Admiral Stark to a dark room, where she had Jorn already sent. Hunter sat his helmet on a nearby table, and nodded to the Admiral, who closed the door herself and locked it. Jorn looked at Hunter, seeably more proud than he was at his capture. Hunter sat in a chair across from him, and waited for a tiny red light at the corner of the room, indicating that Admiral Stark was now watching. Hunter then lashed out at Jorn, hitting him across the face.

"The hell was that for?" Jorn asked, yet Hunter was silent. Hunter cocked his head to the side, following a trickle of blood running down Jorn's eye. He took his thumb and wiped some of it, then licked it. Jorn was about to make a face when Hunter lashed out again, then sat back down. "I demand to know why you're hitting me!"

Hunter chuckled and hit him again. "Why did you kill the Civilians?"

Jorn spat blood in his face, "Because it was fun!"

Hunter hit him 3 times, 2 to the face and one to the stomach, "Then there's your answer!"

The man then started to cuss out Hunter in Ibsenian, with Hunter hitting him after every sentence. Once the man stopped talking, Hunter sat down and licked the blood off his knuckles. Jorn was breathing heavy.

"I know you didn't act alone, you're too stupid to act alone. Who helped you take over the military so fast? You may be a very prestigious commander, but that many men can't follow you because of that small fact. Why did you turn your back on your people?"

The man was exhausted, and so he only breathed. Hunter picked up a syringe of epinephrine and injected it into Jorn, filling the man with adrenaline. "Fuck you."

Hunter nodded and lit up a cigarette. He then took a knife out of his armor and stabbed the man in the shoulder, receiving a yell of pain in reply. "WHO?!"

"Go fuck yourself!"

Hunter twisted the blade, blood poured out of the wound. "WHO!"

"The Alliance!"

Hunter's eyes widened in disbelief.

Hunter growled and grabbed the man's throat. "You lie!"

"Do I?" Jorn asked, smiling with bloody teeth.

Hunter tossed the man back and motioned to the camera for Admiral Stark to come to him.

Systems Alliance Capital, Armali
President Admiral Lee Hayes

Lee's Omni-tool start started to beep and the holographic micro-frame illuminated in a bright orange. he hit a couple buttons and a vid screen appeared
with SPIA agent Haskell's face.

"Report, Haskell"

"Admiral, Dotarian death squads were confirmed in East Ibsenia....they went in killed multiple politicians and civilians as well as captured Jorn."

"He will spill his guts to protect his ass....did they spot you"

" Sir, I'm a splinter cell I had no contact with the Dotarian military. though I did confirm Hunter was in the Death Squad."

"Hunter huh.....that is all report back to Armali"

"yes, Admiral"

The vid screen closed and Lee sat there thinking, Hunter was a close and valuable friend he fought beside him in the Liberation of Armali 15 years ago. as the coup happened turning the Systems Alliance into the hub of the confederacy of Strategos Prime Jorn made the deal to spare Lee's family and for Lee to keep his office. And the SPIA followed Lee into the abyss staying in the Systems Alliance and reporting directly to him. As a soldier lee couldn't risk his families life for his own pride.

"Hayes wouldn't do this, I know for damn sure!"

"It's Hayes, only Hayes could order something like that."

Hunter was on the bridge of Stark's capital ship, staring at the surface of the Ibsenian planet. "I fought by that man's side, we spilled blood together. Hayes would NOT do this! Someone must have authorized this forging Hayes's go ahead, I know for damn sure it wasn't him!"

Stark addressed Hunter sternly, "Hunter, you saw it, I saw it. There is no other possibility. Tomorrow we will execute Jorn publicly in the same square he held his speech. I would get some sleep.....if thats what Dotarians do..."
Stark walked off to her quarters, leaving Hunter at the bridge, staring down at Icis.

East Ibsenian Palace

Commander Alphonse "al" Elric ran through the halls of the palace with his M-45 Assassin pistol drawn, he took cover at corner of the next corridor and peaked around it.

"this was a blood bath...."

a defected East Ibsenia stood in the hall looking at a dead soldier, he rounded the corner and put a single round in the back of the mans head.

"Jorn plan fell through and now the heat will be on the Alliance.....this will make us targets....and Admiral Hayes will have to keep with appearances our snipers were involved in this attack"

he ran into the administration room and copied some files with his omni-tool quickly forwarding them to the SPIA office in Armali. He heard a set of foot steps and he dived behind a desk as a laser passed over the desk, he didn't breath or move and as the disappeared down the hall Al ran in the opposite direction and out of the building taking three more tangos along the way.

East Ibsenia Capital ship

a man dressed in a Ibsenia uniform walk to the holding Cell where Jorn was being held and walked in.

"you spilled your gut to these people"

the man pulled his M-45 Assassin double-tapped Jorn two in the chest and one in the head so to silence him. And walked back in the hall fading in to the everyday life of the ship's crew

Hunter looked at the man's body, blood pouring out of the man's body.

"Do we have any footage?"

Liza Stark, covering her mouth and nose with a handkerchief, "No, the man was good."

"The ship is locked down, right?" Hunter asked.

"Of course, why?"

"Assemble everyone in the cargo bay. I want to inspect them," Hunter said, ordering at first then nodding a bow, "I'm sorry miss, I'm used to being around my men."

"None taken, I was thinking the same thing," the Admiral said, then snapped an order in Ibsenian to the man next to her, who ran off. "Do you think you can pick him out?"

"I am almost certain," Hunter said, then made his way to the cargo bay.

"One of you killed Admiral Jorn, a prisoner in the brig of this ship," Hunter announced to the assembly. Men looked at each other, murmuring amongst themselves. Hunter raised his hand for their silence. "If you come forward, I promise you your death will be quick. However, if you do not comply, I will have to resort to drastic measures."

No one moved.

"Very well then, Larek," Hunter said, looking at his Kingsguard Commander who came on board when Hunter did, making them the only Dotarians on board. They walked back a few steps so Admiral Stark could order open ranks, making the assembly create enough space for Hunter to walk through.

"Remove your clothes," Hunter ordered.

"What?" Liza said, looking at Hunter as if he were telling a joke.

"You heard me right, miss," Hunter said.

"You heard the man, strip!" Liza ordered after shaking her head.

After the men stripped down to their underwear, Hunter walked amongst them slowly, inspecting each and every soldier's front. Larek walked behind the men, inspecting their backs. The inspection continued for 45 minutes, until Hunter got to the 12th Element. Midway through, he noticed a slight discoloration on one of the soldier's right pectoral muscles, as if a tattoo was removed. It was done well, leaving Hunter to barely notice it. The man also was completely at ease, unlike the other men who had a look of fear seeing a Dotarian in full battle gear walking amongst their ranks with his sword in his hand.

"What is your name soldier?"

"Warrant Officer Jeff Banks, sir," the man said, surprised that Hunter stopped in front of him.

"Liza can I get this man's file?" Hunter asked.

The woman, after a few minutes, brought the file to Hunter herself, inspecting the man. "What's wrong with him?"

Hunter ignored her at first, looking in the man's record. He did have a tattoo at one time, which was removed, but Hunter still felt...

Off.

"There is a discoloration on his right pectoral," Hunter said, pointing to the old tattoo, "Can you see it?"

Liza squinted, "No I can't"

Hunter exhaled noisily, studying the man. He had to be their guy, because if it was an innocent Ibsenian, the man would panic. This man was totally at ease. Hunter stooped down to smell the man's clothes. He could smell something familiar, when he fought alongside Admiral Hayes.

Element Zero.

"Put him on his knees," Hunter ordered, and Larek obeyed. "Forgot to change your clothes after you discharged your weapon, didn't you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Bind him Larek, like a pig, and take him to the Vengeance with a Knight's escort. Do NOT let him out of your sight, understand?"

"Yes sir," Larek said, forcibly handcuffing the man's hands behind his back, then his ankles with a 2 inch chain in between the handcuffs, then connecting the two with another one behind his back, all the while the man was struggling.

"Is it him?"

"We'll find out..."

Fade, Jorn's assassin had changed out of the warrant officers uniform into a new private uniform and played the fearful new guy in the service watching them haul off the warrant officer away. As soon as all officers wernt watching he had an almost demonic smile saying to himself "have fun warrant officer"

Hunter made Larek keep the man in the brig, and ordered his men not to touch his prisoner. Hunter looked at the faded tattoo, trying to cypher what it was.

"This is our guy then. I can smell the Element Zero on him," Liza said, looking at the man with disgust.

Hunter pondered over the tattoo, then the time he spent in that cargo hold. There was a private standing next to the officer, who was scared shitless. The name on the uniform was "Pvt. Hector Platon".

"Pull me the file on Hector Platon, if you would please," Hunter said to Liza.

After minutes of looking through her tablet, she said, "Can't find him, what's his rank?"

Hunter smiled, admitting, "I've been fooled. Alliance Marines always get a tattoo on their right pectoral, which is removed prior to SPIA service. I should have known this was sloppy."

"And the ship isn't on lockdown anymore," Liza said.

"The man was good," Hunter admitted, "He's long gone by now, you won't find him unless he wants to be found. This man is a ghost. We need to go to the Nexus, to sort this out with the Atlanticans. I'm sure this new Akulov will be better than his ancestor."

Nos Astra Military Base, Armali
President Admiral Lee Hayes

"Flight Lieutenant Kenway, is the Normandy ready for takeoff?"

"Yes sir, any specific destination?" Kenway replied

"The Atlantican capital"

"Aye aye Admiral"

The APF Normandy is a state of the art Stealth Frigate made originally for Hayes and he commanded it before he became president of the alliance, when he came in to office the Normandy came with him along with his fleet.
with the first family aboard Lee went to the CIC issued a few orders and the ship was granted priority one clearance to takeoff, doing just that it broke through the atmosphere joining the Presidential First Fleet and headed to the mass relay.

"Admiral, approaching the mass relay"

"ok, jump to FTL and get me to the Atlantican capital"

Lee turn and went to the elevator to go the his quarters, Autumn sat at the desk in the captain's quarters goin over some military reports but one stood out marked "urgent" from Commander Al Elric. Lee read it and just nodded his head saying "Call commander Elric back to Armali"

The Nexus used to be a beautiful city, until the recent war touched the skylines of the tall sky scrapers. Now, it was a ruin, but it still showed the beauty it once had. Hunter went down to the surface with Admiral Stark, Bors, Jason, and Larek. They were received by a couple of Atlantican marines, who brought them to Akulov.

The man was a spitting image of his ancestor, according to Hunter's memory. Most species forgot their histories, but Hunter had been around for almost 1,500 years. He saw the regime changes in Atlantica, but the Atlanticans, very opposite to their ancestor's, held no respect for the Dotarians, especially of late.

"Hunter Mathias?" Akulov asked.

"Aye, son of Hector Mathias and Ryse of the Dotarian-"

"Yeah yeah, barbaric rubbish. What is your business here?" Akulov said, cutting Hunter off.

Hunter's eyes narrowed, making Akulov unable to look him in the eye. "I'm sure you have seen or heard of the news in Ibsenia. Would you care to inform me on what the Coalition has been doing as of late?" Hunter asked, knowing the truth already, but hoping it was false.

Fade sat in a demolished building looking in the scope of his M-34 Sniper Rifle with a suppressor ay a mile and 1/4 away at Hunter and Akulov with the same demonic smile.

"you like to be where I am huh Hunter?"

Fade made his adjustments and trained the crosshairs on to Akulov's head and squeezed the trigger and the powerful rifle coughed a muffled shot, with a six second delay Akulov sat on a bench and the bullet missed and peeled open his bodyguard's head.

"shit, now I have to leave"

Fade jumped up quickly ditching his old closes and again disappeared into the obscurity of a big city

Liza Stark had stayed at Icis //Icis is my planet, not my flagship, just for everyone// in order to conduct the cleanup of the attempted coup. Five new delegates had already been elected, but they were proving incompetent and would most likely soon be replaced. Liza Stark had been promoted to Grand Admiral, and as such, was now in charge of the LongSword Valor. The Admiral of Defense was a veteran officer from the Ibsenian war, Orah Mormont, a native of Semylin.

Stark sat at her new desk. She hated it. It was too prissy. Jorn had always been prissy. Too big for his britches. She even had a new assistant, some snobby blonde bitch. She would be getting the hose soon enough.

"Bring me a report on what is happening on Icis, and a holopad to send to Hunter."

"Sigh-Fine i guess," The assistant replied.

How the hell had she become the Grand Admirals assistan-ahh, that pervy little bastard. Of course he would do that. When the holopad arrived, she sent a message to Hunter.

"Hunter, I dont like this. Something isn't right about this sitaution. Get back to your homeplanet immediately, i need to have a discussion with you."

the APF Normandy exited FTL in Atlantian space and continued down to the surface of the planet. Lee and his children loaded into a UT-47 Grizzly troop transport shuttle, and continued down to the streets.Lee, Liara, and Jayden hopped out of the shuttle and made their way to The Nexus.

"Daddy, why are we coming here?" asked Liara

"The SPIA have info about something going to happen here"

Jayden spoke up "You think something will happen here really?"

"I do"

Hunter immediately covered up Akulov and looked at the direction where the gunshot came from. He could see a man running along a rooftop, trying to get out of sight.

"Akulov, stay here, and stay down!" Hunter yelled, then willed himself to jump across the street to the other buildings. When he landed, he slammed his helmet on and closed the facemask on the run, marking his target. This bastard wouldn't get away, not this time.

Hunter was a faster runner than the man, even though the man was over a mile away. Hunter had to jump building to building, slowly gaining distance on the man.

Fade jumped off a build and as soon as he landed in a crowd of people and out of hunter's view he activated him optical camo disappearing into the shadows. This assassin was the best in the galaxy this missed shot was jus a hiccup. He threw his coat in to a mans backpack and doubled back with his optical camo engaged.
